The star family from Kopparberget and Forsgren from Älvkarleby?

Star family, DNA overview with Forsgren. © Norstedt 2018

A hitherto unknown agnatic line from Olof Nilsson, ancestor of the Stjärnas family at Kopparberget[1] has appeared. It is Björn Forsgren in Mölle, with ancestry from Älvkarleby in northern Uppsala county, who was found to have Storbogrenen's first SNP (JN82+). This means that he is a descendant of Markvard Olsson from Storgården who lived at the end of the 15th century.

That Björn Forsgren is JN82+ (see above overview) but negative for as many as five SNPs on the Storbo branch suggests that it is an early branching only a few generations after Markvard Olsson. It should be before Karl Hansson, b. 1615 at Storbo.

Björn Forsgren's oldest clearly identified ancestor is Jan Olofsson[2], born in Älvkarleby in 1715. It was Jan's son Olof born in 1740 at Öns bruk who took the name Forsgren.

Since there is only one DNA-tested line from Jan Olofsson to the present, a break in the chain cannot be ruled out, but if we assume that it is true, then there must be a hitherto unknown link after Markvard Olsson at the end of the 15th century Vika (W) to Jan Olofsson in Älvkarleby (C).

Correction desired!
The above sketch shows the agnatic lines (sons only) from Markvard Olsson that I think I can identify. Some may be incorrect and others may be missing. It is the line from Karl Hansson second farthest to the right that has been tested to the present. The sketch would need to be supplemented and, if necessary, corrected in order to be able to think about where the Forsgren line connects. Updates are gratefully received.
