Trysunda – Southeast and Rödskatudden

Published

Jakob:

The first walk of the day started on the east side of the harbor entrance.

We went all the way around from the entrance to Storviken on the outside of Trysunda. At the beginning you can't easily follow the beach because there are buildings, but there is a path that goes up the mountain just east of the quay.

Öster-Hamnskaten is special with its high cliffs and extensive outcrop floor. The large formation closest to the inlet I have always thought resembled a resting elephant.

After lunch there was another trip, this time towards Rödskatudden, Trysunda's northern tip. Here the landscape is different. Rocks just like on the outside but the red rapakivi granite dominates.

As usual, I'm looking for siles hair, the carnivorous plant that can be found by small ponds and marshes on Trysunda. I think it's exciting!
