Completion in 2021

Jakob:

So it was time to end the 2021 season.

Disarmament began on September 5 with demasting. We got great help from Filippa and Fredrik and were able to get the rather heavy mast down without any problems. It is now stored in the boat club's mast warehouse.

At the same time, I have spent a lot of time pondering scaffold construction. I stuck with a construction that my uncle Curt has used for many decades for his Schelink cruiser Onyx, built simply out of planks and chain.

I supplemented with two struts under the bow because the boat's center of gravity is dangerously close to the front wooden trestle.

The boat was lifted up on Saturday 18 September. We were first in line and everything went smoothly.

Now there's a bit of work left to do with emptying water hoses etc. before it's time to cover the boat.
