Sunday I sail on my own to Väktarens lighthouse outside Holmsund. Out there, the horizon is clear and I can start practicing taking solar altitudes with my newly purchased sextant.
I will use the data for the sun heights I took this afternoon when I get home to calculate my position - I'm looking forward to the results. How accurately have I managed to measure? It remains to be seen.
