Comfort in Räfsö

Published

We consoled ourselves with smoked whitefish and strawberries yesterday and safely watching the waves from the beach.

Today, both wind and waves had subsided somewhat, so we finally got going, at 6 in the morning. When the boat is flooded with water, we have a small leak from the sunroof = somewhat wet mattresses and bedding. Thankfully, we've had sun so they've had time to dry before bedtime.

Now we are experimenting with moving the mattresses around. But in the bumpy lake, one of the mattresses "tore" = wet again. So it's just a matter of figuring out new solutions = life as a sailor. Lucky we both like the unpredictability and problem solving.

Weather, water and wind we cannot control, only adapt to. That's part of the charm of sailing.
