Skuleberget

We left Norrfällsviken as soon as we woke up, we didn't want to stay longer than necessary. We steered towards Skuleberget and Skulebergets Havcamping just below in Veåsand. There we moored at 8 in the morning. We had a quick breakfast and then took the short walk to the foot of Skuleberget and the starting point for the Via Ferrata, the climbing routes that run up the almost vertical side of the mountain.

At 9 the climb opened and we hung on the lock. The weather was optimal, but rain was expected later in the day and at the slightest risk the facility closes - wet mountain sides are difficult to climb.

We decided on the red trail, the second most difficult of the four. Last time I was here I had chosen the yellow one.

The climb went well. It took the next two hours and we were pretty sore when we got to the top. Eva thinks her legs are a bit short and I must have had some doubts about my arm strength but we got up! We are very proud of the achievement.
